Slow Scan images
Slow Scan TV is a digital mode used for sending still pictures across Amateur Radio frequencies. I captured these slow scan images on the 10-meter SSTV frequency of 28.680 MHz using MMSSTV by Makoto Mori. They show various stages of QSOs. To send and receive SSTV you just need a laptop and a digital camera. For these images I used my Yaesu FT-757GX radio, 10-M dipole antenna at 6 feet and an ancient Texas Instruments laptop.
Stations I've QSO'ed with (these are all from my old QTH in Sacramento, CA)

Other SSTV calls I've received
From Reid in Lawrence, KS. I was able to QSL Reid
A good signal from Shige in Japan confirming a QSO with Reid above.
A Mexican station engaged in a QSO with the Japan station above. He has a pretty decent shack.
Valentin confirms QSL with Shige in Japan at the end of their QSO. Pretty good distance!
| A picture of the shack of an Unknown Ham. The signal was weak. I think this Peterboro is up in Canada. | |
Another image from Valentin in Mexico
A CQ call from K0OTU showing his friendly fish!
A strong CQ call from LU3CP in Argentina
